Maya Beck
Maya serves as an Academic Advisor at Florida State University, working specifically with undergraduate students in the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship. She is passionate about supporting students as they develop, grow, and refine their business ideas during their time at FSU.
Maya graduated from Florida State University as a transfer student after her family relocated from Pennsylvania to Florida. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with endorsements in Reading and ESOL. Before returning to FSU, she spent several years as an elementary school teacher. This experience continues to shape her advising approach, allowing her to support students through both their academic and professional journeys.
Interesting Facts:
Although Maya loves FSU, she is a die-hard Eagles fan. Maya and her husband have two cats and a dog. They enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, including fishing, hiking, bonfires and much more. Their favorite weekend activity is riding their dirtbikes in the Appilachicola State Forest.
