The Incubator Program
The Student Incubator is a dedicated program designed to help FSU student entrepreneurs grow and scale their businesses. This incubator provides workspace, mentorship, and resources to support student ventures beyond the idea phase, fostering innovation, collaboration, and success.

Who Can Apply?
The incubator is for students who:
- Have moved beyond the idea stage and can demonstrate business progress (e.g., revenue, prototype, customer base, or other validation).
- Have actively engaged with Jim Moran College (JMC) Student Engagement (SE) events and opportunities.
- Have a valid FSU reference.
- Are committed to entrepreneurship, innovation, collaboration, and integrity.
- Are dedicated to growing their venture and utilizing the incubator’s resources.
Note: Students still in the idea phase or who have not yet participated in JMC SE events are encouraged to meet with a JMC SE mentor or attend events before applying.
How to Apply
Students can apply online through StartupTree
- Applications are accepted on a cohort basis.
- The next application period: March 1 – March 31, 2025.
- The program runs for one year, with renewal opportunities for eligible students.
- Selected students will be interviewed by the Jim Moran College Student Engagement Team and notified of their admission decision.

Workspace & Facilities
- 24/7 co-working space access to the downtown Jim Moran Building (111 South Monroe Street)
- Supplies: Whiteboards, projectors, Post-its, printers, etc.
- Library: Access to books and magazines
- Business Address: Option to register a business using the incubator’s address
- JMC Welcome Kit
Business Growth Resources
- Opportunities to showcase businesses
- Assistance with funding applications and competitions
- Social media promotion and featured highlights
- Access to JMC resources and mentors
- Certificate of completion after one year
- Exclusive “Incubator Student” Badge
Incubator Resident Requirements
- Sign the Incubator Program Participant Agreement and Intake Form.
- Agree to cohort communication and collaboration.
- Meet monthly with a JMC mentor to review progress.
- Provide regular progress updates and milestone reports.
- If using JMC as a registered business address, update it before completing the program (certificate of completion will not be issued until this is done).
Admission Process
- Submit an online application via StartupTree.
- Interview with the JMC Student Engagement Team (for selected applicants).
- Admission decision is communicated to students.
