JMC Grant Support
JMI Entrepreneurship Research Travel Grants
Through generous support from the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship this program offers FSU faculty, PhD students, and staff up to $1,500 in conference travel support to present research which informs or supports the practice of entrepreneurship, or otherwise contributes to the JMI mission in an impactful way.
The mission of the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship is to cultivate, train and inspire entrepreneurial leaders through world-class executive education, applied training, public recognition and leading-edge research.
Program Rules
- Receipt of funding is competitive, and funding is extremely limited. While applications are welcome from all FSU students, faculty, and staff, preference will be given to FSU research faculty (tenured/tenure track) and PhD students.
- All applications are considered on a rolling basis. Please submit as far in advance as possible, ideally immediately upon paper acceptance and more than 90-days before travel commences.
- Only completed applications will be considered.
- No one individual will receive more than 2 awards in any given academic year, and no more than 3 awards in any rolling two-year period.
- No one project may be funded more than one time. Determination of whether a current project is sufficiently different from a prior funded project is at the sole determination of the JMC Office of Research.
- All conducted research must comply with all university policies and procedures.
- All funding decisions are final and non-appealable.
