AATCC 2021 Fashion Evolution Design Competition

This year’s theme celebrates AATCC’s 100th year anniversary. From the 1920s, when AATCC was founded, to the present day, choose a decade from the last 100 years and reinvent the fashions for the 2020 decade focusing on one or more of the following:

-Fit/sizing for various body types
-Sustainable fashion
-Personal protection
-New textile materials/technology

Baylor New Venture Competition 2021

The John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise will host the tenth annual Baylor New Venture Competition on March 25-27, 2021 at Baylor University’s Foster Campus for Business and Innovation. This business plan and elevator pitch competition showcases collegiate entrepreneurs from across the globe. The competition provides participants with personal and professional development through:

Industry-specific mentorship towards sustainable business plans
Exclusive access to accomplished experts and fellow innovators
A chance to compete for over $250,000 in cash prizes and vital resources

CEO Virtual Global Pitch

During the fall 2020 semester, student participants will assemble a business profile on a virtual stock-exchange, known as Peaqs. Along the journey, participants will be guided through the creation of elements of their new venture profile. Mentors and advisors will work one-on-one with students to provide actionable feedback as they compile strong business profiles. Along the way, participants, mentors and advisors will trade stock-credits on the exchange, providing participants with a quick and easy way to see how your business traction and popularity is trending throughout the competition.

Florida Venture Forum 2020

On October 14-15, 2020, the Florida Venture Education Foundation, will host the virtual 10th Annual Statewide Collegiate Startup Competition to coincide with the 13th Annual Early Stage Capital Conference, with $10,000 in prize money!

The Jim Moran College will be selecting 10 students to attend this conference. If you are interested in being selected to participate in this competition please fill out this survey (below) and link a two minute video pitch.

InNOLEvation® Challenge 2020 - 2021

The InNOLEvation® Challenge is a Business Model Competition with a focus on identifying problems and potential solutions, building effective teams and precisely defining the assumptions of a new venture, testing those assumptions in the field, and then pivoting (changing) based on the lessons learned.

This year we will be hosting the InNOLEvation® Challenge workshops online due to COVID-19. The workshops and PowerPoint presentations are already available to view on our website under 2020 – 2021 Workshops at https://jimmorancollege.fsu.edu/student-engagement/innolevation-challenge/resources/.

In order to have a beneficial Q&A session, we expect you to watch the videos and presentations PRIOR to the Q&A session. For the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award (which includes points for participation for attending these workshops), attending the Zoom Q & A session count towards these points.

Pitch for a Cause Competition

The Big Bend Summit will be October 1 -2, 2020. The competition will be hosted on October 1st and is for students ages 16 - 24 who will enter a 3 - 5 minute video submission with their project or program that addresses "solving a community issue through the collaboration of high education, business, government and nonprofit sectors." Three finalist will be selected to conduct their pitch during the opening session for a chance to win $500!

U.Pitch

U.Pitch brings together some of the best students from a national cross-section of universities for the ultimate elevator pitch competition. In just 90 seconds, contestants compete for recognition, validation, and a piece of the $10,000 prize pool!

The 2020 U.Pitch National Elevator Pitch Competition & Showcase will stream live globally on October 29.
